FPL Game week 26

This weekend we witness EPL game week 26 with eight of the twenty teams having a double game week. The Teams having a double game week are Burnley, Tottenham, Watford, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Leeds, Arsenal, and Wolves.  Liverpool has a good looking double game week, with both matches played at Anfield, on 19th vs Norwich and 23rd vs Leeds and I would expect the league's top scorer, Mo Salah, To continue with his hot streak. Others to watch in the Liverpool side are Jota, Mane, Robertson, and Trent all of whom have had a fantastic season so far. The only other team with a double game week worth looking at, in my opinion, is Arsenal, who like Liverpool, have two home matches, though against tricky oppositions. They take on Brentford on 19th then Wolves on 24th. Their somewhat resolute defense is the main

Curtain Raisers

Another day in this carnival of souls, as we reminisce on the past we look forward to the future. The Pharaos yesterday had a lucky escape, nothing to argue there. Though they are on second gear they seem to be advancing towards the main target. Salah vs Mane it is, what a final to be.

In Spain, Real Madrid couldn't impress without their key man, Benzema, crashing out of the Copa Del Rey courtesy of an 89th-minute strike by Alex Berenguer of Athletic Bilbao. Earlier Real Betis saw off Real Sociedad 2: 0 to advance to the next stage of Copa Del Rey.

Later today we will welcome back to our screens the Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga, and FA Cup after a short break. Curtain raising the game week 23 in Ligue 1, Olympique de Marseille host Angers SCO in a match the host is expected to win easily. In Germany, I expect a close fight between Hertha Berlina and Vfl Bochum at Olympiastadion (Berlin). Getafe CF take on Levante UD at Coliseum Alfonso Perez (Getafe) in what could be a relegation decider.

At Old Trafford, The Red Devils welcome back Paul Pogba for their FACup fixture against promotion hopefuls, Middlesborough. A lot of uncertainties about what the lineup will look like for both teams. Will their league positions influence team selection or will the managers take it one game at a time and field the best available squad? United is expected to win this but with the number of disgruntled players in their squad, we will have to wait and see the attitude exhibited on the pitch. I expect Man Utd to show proper respect to the victims and survivors of the Munich Air disaster before the annual anniversary is held later on Sunday by winning by a big margin.

Of note in the Championship Sheffield United travel to Birmingham as they continue their quest for promotion. A tricky fixture for both sides. Just before I forget, Mathare United takes on Talanta FC at 3:00 PM East African Time. Promote local talent, my friends.

For our betting friends, Hertha Berlin  1st  Half draw @ 2.15, Sheffield win @ 2.06, and Getafe Win @ 2.08 are my predictions for the day. Odds courtesy of Betway. Gamble responsibly.
